Pannonia Ethanol

About Pannonia Ethanol

Pannonia Ethanol is a Hungarian bioethanol producer operating a large-scale corn-to-ethanol biorefinery in Dunaföldvár. The facility converts locally sourced maize into fuel-grade ethanol for European transport fuels and industrial applications.

In addition to ethanol, the plant produces significant volumes of co-products, including high-protein animal feed (DDGS), corn oil, and biogenic carbon dioxide for industrial use. Its operations support agricultural supply chains by purchasing maize from regional farmers and contribute to energy and feed markets across the EU. Pannonia Ethanol is part of the Irish-owned ClonBio Group, which develops and operates grain processing and bio-based manufacturing assets in Europe.
