Nouvelles Fibres Textiles (legal name: NOUVELLES FIBRES TEXTILES) is a French company founded in 2023, specializing in the industrial-scale sorting and processing of post-consumer and post-industrial textile waste. Headquartered in Charlieu with operations in Amplepuis, it operates Europe's first automated pilot line for textile sorting by color and composition, combined with fiber tearing.
The facility, inaugurated in November 2023, uses technologies from partners Pellenc ST for optical sorting and Andritz for tearing and effilochage, processing fibers such as polyester, cotton, polycotton, and polyamide into high-quality secondary raw materials. These feedstocks support mechanical and chemical recycling streams for new textiles, nonwovens, and composites.
A joint venture of Les Tissages de Charlieu and Synergies TLC, the company supplies sorted polyester-rich textiles to chemical recycling partners like CARBIOS, enabling textile-to-textile loops and contributing to circularity in the chemical and textile industries. Initial capacity is 1,000 tons per year, with ambitions to scale significantly.
