NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company Limited (NGIC) is a subsidiary of NNPC Limited, Nigeria's national oil company. Headquartered in Warri, Delta State, NGIC focuses on the construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and related infrastructure across Nigeria.
Established with roots tracing back to 1981 (formerly associated with Nigerian Gas Company Limited), NGIC plays a key role in expanding gas processing and transmission networks. It aims to unlock stranded gas reserves, boost commercial gas volumes, and supply gas to industries, power plants, and LNG projects, supporting domestic energy needs and exports.
NGIC manages major pipelines such as the OB3 (Obiafu-Obrikom) and Escravos-Lagos lines, and is involved in projects like the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline. It enters gas sales and purchase agreements with major consumers, including Dangote Group subsidiaries, to ensure reliable supply for industrial expansion and energy transition initiatives.
