Sinopec Nanjing Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd., also known as Nanhua Company or NCIC, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Group). Headquartered in Nanjing's Jiangbei New Area at 268 Geguan Road, Jiangsu Province, it operates as one of China's foundational chemical production sites with origins in 1934.
The company produces inorganic chemicals such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, synthetic ammonia, hydrogen and caustic soda from coal, salt and sulfur feedstocks; organic chemicals including aniline, nitrobenzene, cyclohexanone and chlorobenzene derivatives from benzene; and fine chemicals focused on rubber antioxidants like TMQ and 6PPD. Additional outputs include catalysts, fertilizers and chemical equipment. It runs 28 production units across coal chemical, benzene chemical and fine chemical processes with total annual capacity of about 3.1 million tons.
As a national enterprise technology center, NCIC emphasizes innovation in electronic-grade chemicals, including recent G4 sulfuric acid production for semiconductors, alongside catalysts and sustainability initiatives. It operates solely in China as part of the Sinopec Group and maintains a leading domestic role in basic and specialty chemicals.
