Malaysia LNG Tiga Sdn. Bhd. (MLNG Tiga) operates the third LNG plant within the PETRONAS LNG Complex in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia. Incorporated in 1995, it manages two liquefaction trains (Trains 7 and 8) that commenced operations in 2003, with a combined annual production capacity of approximately 7.2-7.7 million tonnes of LNG.
The company liquefies natural gas sourced from offshore fields, primarily supplying markets in Asia, including long-term buyers in Japan. PETRONAS holds a 60% stake, with other shareholders including the Sarawak State Government (25%), ENEOS (10%, recently re-entered via agreement), and Mitsubishi Corporation (5%).
As part of the world's largest single-site LNG facility, MLNG Tiga contributes to Malaysia's position as a key global LNG exporter.
