Messer Belgium N.V. is a Belgian subsidiary of the Messer Group, a major European producer of industrial, medical and specialty gases. The company operates in the Benelux region, supplying oxygen, nitrogen, argon and other gases to customers in the chemical, food, healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
Its portfolio includes liquid and gaseous products delivered by tanker or pipeline, serving industrial applications such as welding, food preservation and medical oxygen therapy. A new €60 million air separation plant under construction at the former Langerbrugge power station in Evergem, North Sea Port, will significantly expand local production capacity.
Scheduled for commissioning in 2028 with full operational capacity targeted for 2035, the facility will produce oxygen, nitrogen and argon by cryogenic separation and supply customers along the Lille–Rotterdam axis.
