It specializes in the collection, sorting, and processing of used and unwanted garments and textiles to promote reuse and recycling across Europe.
Operating sorting facilities in Germany (Hamburg and Polch) and Poland (Pila), Looper sorts textiles into over 200 categories based on material composition and garment type, using advanced technologies like near-infrared sorting. In 2024, it processed more than 70 million textiles, with around 65% directed to reuse, 23% to low-grade recycling, and 2% to high-quality fiber-to-fiber recycling. The company supports municipal collection systems and retail take-back programs, contributing to circular economy efforts in the textile sector amid rising waste challenges and upcoming EU extended producer responsibility regulations.
