Long Mott Energy, LLC

About Long Mott Energy

Long Mott Energy, LLC is developing the Long Mott Generating Station, a nuclear power project in Seadrift, Texas, under the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program. The company proposes to build a plant featuring X-energy’s XE-100 high-temperature gas-cooled reactors.

Each XE-100 unit is rated at 80 MW and uses helium coolant. The design requires minimal water and does not include cooling towers or water intake structures. The station is intended to supply electricity and high-temperature industrial steam to Dow’s UCC Seadrift Operations.

The project aims to be the first grid-scale advanced nuclear facility serving an industrial site in North America, supporting production at a facility that produces more than 4 billion pounds of materials annually.
