About Li-Tec Battery

German GmbH based in Kamenz, Saxony. Originally founded in 2006 as Li-Tec Vermögensverwaltungs-GmbH by Evonik, it became a joint venture with Daimler AG (later fully Daimler/Mercedes-Benz owned) developing and producing large-format lithium-ion battery cells (CERIO brand) for automotive and other uses. Cell production ceased in 2015; the company now focuses on renting and leasing its properties.
