Léko is a state-approved French éco-organisme (Producer Responsibility Organization) specializing in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for household packaging and graphic paper. It collects eco-contributions from producers placing packaged goods and printed paper on the French market, then channels these funds to support municipal collection, sorting, reuse, and recycling programs.

The organization operates as a challenger to the dominant player Citeo, emphasizing simplicity, transparency, eco-modulation incentives for recycled content, and innovation in areas such as orphan materials and national reuse schemes like “En route pour le réemploi!”. It also manages Léko Pro for the emerging professional packaging EPR stream effective from 2027.

Headquartered in Paris, Léko partners with local authorities covering over 1.5 million inhabitants and has grown rapidly since becoming operational in 2020, reaching approximately 63,000–80,000 adherent producers and revenues exceeding €30 million. It is wholly owned by Valorie SAS, a holding company historically controlled by the international Reclay/Raan group and, following a November 2026 transaction, jointly owned 50/50 with GreenDot (majority-owned by Agilyx ASA). This structure positions Léko as a key player in France’s circular economy efforts amid tightening EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation targets.

Also known as Léko Pro.
