L&F Plus Co., Ltd. is a South Korean manufacturer specializing in the production and sales of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active materials for secondary batteries. As a wholly owned subsidiary of L&F Co., Ltd., a established producer of high-nickel cathode materials, L&F Plus was established in August 2025 to focus exclusively on LFP technology and operations.
The company operates a dedicated commercial-scale manufacturing facility on an approximately 100,000 m² site in the Phase 2 area of the National Industrial Complex in Guji-myeon, Dalseong-gun, Daegu. The plant produces third-generation high-density LFP cathode materials targeting a packing density of at least 2.50 g/cc. Initial annual capacity stands at 30,000 metric tons, with expansion to 60,000 tons planned by the first half of 2027. Total investment in the facility is approximately KRW 338 billion.
L&F Plus supplies materials primarily for energy storage systems (ESS), including power grids and AI data centers, as well as mass-market and entry-level electric vehicles. It positions itself as Korea’s first non-Chinese company to achieve commercial-scale LFP cathode mass production, contributing to the diversification of global supply chains away from dominant Chinese producers. The subsidiary handles all aspects of dedicated LFP plant operation, production, and sales under the L&F group structure.
