About KSE
Kuraray Specialities Europe GmbH (KSE) was a wholly owned German subsidiary of Kuraray Co., Ltd. (Japan), established in December 2001 after acquiring Clariant AG's PVA/PVB operations. It operated production facilities for polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/MOWIOL) and polyvinyl butyral (PVB/MOWITAL) resins at the Höchst Industrial Park in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The company expanded PVA capacity by 20,000 tpa in 2003-2005 and was absorbed by Kuraray Europe GmbH in September 2006.
