KRONOS TITAN GmbH manufactures titanium dioxide pigments and related titanium compounds. The company operates production sites in Germany, including a sulfate-process facility in Nordenham founded in 1969 with an annual TiO2 capacity of 60,000 metric tons. It forms part of Kronos Worldwide, Inc., a global TiO2 producer headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
Products serve applications in paints, coatings, plastics, paper, and other sectors requiring whiteness, brightness, and opacity. The firm also generates co-products such as iron sulfate for wastewater treatment. In 2024, a 24.7 MW solar installation was commissioned at the Nordenham site under a long-term agreement with RWE to supply renewable electricity.
