The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Inc. (ISTH) is a not-for-profit global membership organization of specialists in blood coagulation and related disorders such as thrombosis and hemophilia. Founded in 1954 and reorganized in 1969, it represents about 5,000 members across 98 countries. The society advances education, research, scientific meetings, standards development, and publications including the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Its headquarters are in Carrboro, North Carolina, USA.
