The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) is a global professional membership organisation and learned society for chemical, biochemical and process engineers. Founded in 1922 and based in the UK, it is a not-for-profit charity that supports the advancement of chemical engineering for the benefit of society.
IChemE sets professional standards, accredits university programmes and training, and awards professional registrations such as Chartered status.
