Hyundai Steel Company (also known as Hyundai Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.) is a major South Korean steelmaker and a core subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group. The company operates both integrated blast furnace facilities and electric arc furnaces, producing a broad range of flat and long steel products, including hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil, plates, galvanized and electrical steels, automotive-grade sheet, H-beams, rebar, and special steels.

Hyundai Steel serves key sectors such as automotive, construction, shipbuilding, energy, and machinery. Its primary production hub is the Dangjin integrated steelworks, complemented by long-products operations and downstream processing centers in South Korea and abroad. The company engages in scrap recycling and by-product reuse and is pursuing decarbonization initiatives aimed at lower-emission steelmaking, including increased use of scrap, efficiency upgrades, and development of hydrogen-based direct reduction pathways.
