Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) is an international nonprofit professional society focused on improving the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Its members include cardiac electrophysiologists, cardiologists, surgeons, scientists, and allied health professionals involved in heart rhythm research, innovation, and clinical practice.
HRS develops clinical guidelines and consensus statements, advances research and data standards, publishes peer‑reviewed journals (such as Heart Rhythm and related titles), and provides education and training across electrophysiology and cardiac device therapy. The society convenes the annual Heart Rhythm meeting and other programs to disseminate evidence, enhance quality and patient safety in ablation, pacing, and defibrillation therapies, and inform policy and practice in heart rhythm care worldwide.
