Houston Refining LP is a limited partnership and the operating entity for a major petroleum refinery located in Houston, Texas. As a wholly owned subsidiary of LyondellBasell Industries N.V., the company historically managed refining operations at the 700-acre Houston Refinery site on the Houston Ship Channel at 12000 Lawndale Street.

The refinery, one of the oldest in the region with operations dating to 1918, had a crude distillation capacity of approximately 268,000 barrels per day. It processed heavy, high-sulfur crudes into products including reformulated gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel, jet fuel, lubricant base stocks, aromatics, propylene, and petroleum coke. The facility played a significant role in the local economy, supporting hundreds of direct jobs and substantial regional economic activity prior to closure.

Originally part of joint ventures, including a period as Lyondell-CITGO Refining LP from 1993 to 2006, it became fully owned by Lyondell in 2006 and was renamed Houston Refining LP. In April 2022, the parent company announced plans to exit refining to focus on circular and low-carbon solutions. Refining operations ceased in early 2025 following a delay from the original 2023 target. The site now supports safe decommissioning, material storage, and transfers for other LyondellBasell operations while future uses centered on circularity, chemical recycling via MoReTec technology, and low-carbon initiatives are under evaluation.

Also known as Houston Refining and Lyondell-CITGO Refining LP.
