About HEPCO

Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Inc. (HEPCO) is a Japanese electric utility company headquartered in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Founded in 1951, it generates, transmits, and distributes electricity across Hokkaido, operating thermal, hydroelectric, and nuclear power facilities.

HEPCO participates in low-carbon initiatives, including a project certified under Japan's Hydrogen Society Promotion Act for importing and using low-carbon ammonia in power generation and as industrial feedstock alongside other companies.
