H2Pro is an Israeli clean-energy technology company that develops water electrolysis systems for producing green hydrogen. Founded in 2019 by researchers and entrepreneurs associated with the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, the company focuses on delivering cost- and energy-efficient hydrogen solutions for industrial applications, power and mobility sectors, and energy storage.
H2Pro’s core technology, known as E-TAC (Electrochemical–Thermally Activated Chemical) water splitting, decouples the production of hydrogen and oxygen into separate steps. This approach is designed to improve efficiency and safety, reduce system complexity and materials needs, and enable flexible operation alongside variable renewable power. The company is working to scale its electrolyzers from pilot to multi‑megawatt installations to support the decarbonization of sectors such as chemicals, fertilizers, steel, and fuels.
