Its flagship product, SCC55®, is a patented silicon-carbon anode material engineered as a drop-in replacement for graphite in existing lithium-ion production lines. Group14 operates commercial Battery Active Materials (BAM) factories, including BAM-1 in Woodinville, Washington; BAM-2 in Moses Lake, Washington (the context-referenced silicon-carbon anode facility); and BAM-3 in Sangju, South Korea (formerly a joint venture with SK Inc., now fully owned by Group14 following a 2025 acquisition). These facilities support global supply chains for electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and other applications.

The company has raised over $1 billion in equity funding from investors including Porsche AG, SK Inc., Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund, and others, supplemented by U.S. Department of Energy grants. Customers include major players such as Porsche and Amperex Technology Limited (ATL). Group14 positions itself as a leader in the emerging silicon battery era, with commercial production already enabling millions of devices and scaling to meet EV demand worldwide.
