Center for Green Market Activation

About GMA

The Center for Green Market Activation (GMA) is a US-based, globally focused nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of low- and zero-carbon fuels, materials, and services in hard-to-decarbonize sectors. These include aviation, maritime, heavy-duty trucking, cement and concrete, and chemicals.

GMA employs innovative mechanisms such as book-and-claim systems, collective procurement processes, and demand-aggregating buyers' alliances to bridge corporate climate commitments with investments in green technologies. It serves as the secretariat for the Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance (SABA), facilitating procurements for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) certificates, including recent selections like Infinium's Project Atlas under next-generation RFPs.

Through partnerships with organizations like RMI and Environmental Defense Fund, GMA standardizes emerging green markets and supports Scope 3 emissions reductions for member companies across value chains.
