The facility includes a 1.8 million metric ton per year ethane steam cracker, two polyethylene production units with combined capacity of 1.3 million metric tons annually, and a monoethylene glycol unit rated at 1.1 million metric tons per year. These units convert ethane feedstock from U.S. natural gas into ethylene and derivative products used in packaging, bottles, containers, agricultural films, polyester fabrics, and other everyday items supporting food, healthcare, automotive, and construction sectors.

Located on about 1,350 acres in San Patricio County near Corpus Christi, the complex employs approximately 600 full-time personnel and emphasizes modern design with Best Available Control Technology, rigorous safety protocols, and community initiatives under its Good Neighbor Program. GCGV has pursued sustainability measures including a utility-scale solar project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and local investments in education and workforce development.

As a significant addition to U.S. Gulf Coast petrochemical capacity, GCGV leverages low-cost domestic feedstocks to produce high-performance materials while maintaining strong environmental, health, and safety standards recognized through industry awards and Responsible Care commitments.
