Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (FREP) is an integrated refining and petrochemicals joint venture based in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. The company is jointly owned by China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) with partners including ExxonMobil and Saudi Aramco, operating a large refinery and associated chemical units on a single site.

FREP processes crude oil into transportation fuels and petrochemical feedstocks and converts these into bulk chemicals such as ethylene, propylene, and aromatics. The complex includes a steam cracker and downstream units producing polyethylene, polypropylene, and related products for industrial and consumer applications. FREP plays a role in linking refining and chemicals to enhance feedstock integration within China’s petrochemical value chain.
