Forth Valley College is a publicly funded further education institution in central Scotland, serving the Forth Valley region with campuses in Falkirk, Stirling, and Alloa. For the chemical and process industries, the college provides Modern Apprenticeships and full-time/part-time programmes in areas such as process operations, instrumentation and control, mechanical and electrical maintenance, laboratory science, and health, safety and environmental practice. Working with employers in and around the Grangemouth industrial cluster, it supports workforce development, upskilling, and apprenticeship training aligned to industry standards. The college also contributes to skills for the energy transition, including biotechnology, renewables, and low‑carbon manufacturing. Facilities include industry-standard laboratories and workshops that enable practical, competency-based training for technicians, operators, and early-career professionals.
