Fluxys c-grid Antwerp is a joint venture established in May 2025 as a public limited company (SA/NV) with enterprise number BE 1023.471.150. It develops, builds, and operates an open-access CO₂ pipeline network in the Port of Antwerp area to support industrial decarbonization through carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects.
The company was founded as a subsidiary of Fluxys Belgium, which holds a 70% stake, alongside partners Pipelink (20%) and Air Liquide (10%). Its registered office is in Brussels, but operations center on the Antwerp port industrial cluster. In March 2026, the Flemish government designated it as the Local Carbon Network Operator (LCNO) for the Antwerp port area for a 20-year period.
Core activities include phased construction of CO₂ pipelines connecting emitters to export infrastructure such as the Antwerp@C CO₂ Export Hub, facilitating transport for liquefaction, marine export, or permanent offshore storage in the North Sea. Initial backbone phases began construction in 2025 with completion targeted for end-2026, supported by EU and Flemish funding, and designed for scalability based on market demand and open-access principles.
Positioned within the Fluxys group’s broader CO₂ network initiatives across Belgium, Fluxys c-grid Antwerp contributes to national and cross-border CO₂ transport systems, enabling reliable, regulated infrastructure for hard-to-abate industries while maintaining operational expertise from the parent company’s energy transmission background.
Also known as Fluxys c-grid Antwerp NV, Fluxys c-grid Antwerp SA, and Fluxys c-grid Antwerpen.

The agreement aims to capture 1.1 million tons of CO₂ annually at Holcim's Obourg plant, supporting EU's 2050 net zero target through advanced carbon capture and storage technology.
The EU granted €144.6M for building CO2 transport and export facilities at Antwerp port, aiming to halve CO2 emissions by 2030 with an initial capacity of 2.5 Mtpa, scalable to 10 Mtpa.
Antwerp@C begins engineering studies for CO2 infrastructure, aiming to cut emissions by 50% at Port of Antwerp by 2030. The project includes a central backbone, liquefaction unit, and maritime facilities.
