About Fiocruz

Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) is Brazil’s leading public science and technology institution in health. Founded in 1900 and linked to the Ministry of Health, it is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and operates a nationwide network of research, clinical, and reference laboratories serving the country’s Unified Health System (SUS).

Fiocruz conducts research and innovation in biomedical and public health sciences and produces health technologies at industrial scale.
