Fibrant is a Netherlands-based chemical company specializing in caprolactam (CPL), a key intermediate for nylon 6, and related products such as ammonium sulfate. Its materials serve applications in fibers, engineering plastics, and films across global value chains.
The company originated from DSM’s caprolactam activities and operates from Urmond in the Chemelot industrial cluster. Since 2018, Fibrant has been part of Highsun Holding Group. In addition to manufacturing, Fibrant develops and licenses proprietary caprolactam process technologies and provides technical support for plant design, optimization, and sustainability improvements, with a focus on lowering energy use and emissions in CPL production.
