Energetický a průmyslový holding, a.s. (EPH) is a privately held Central European energy group based in Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 2009, the company owns and operates assets across the electricity, heat and natural gas value chain, including power generation, district heating, and gas transmission, distribution and storage. EPH is organized around platforms such as EP Power Europe (generation) and EP Infrastructure (network and storage assets) and is majority-owned by Czech investor Daniel Křetínský.
EPH’s portfolio spans multiple European countries and includes flexible gas-fired and biomass power plants, as well as legacy coal and lignite units in transition, complemented by battery systems and energy trading activities. Its infrastructure holdings play a role in transporting and storing natural gas that supplies industrial users, including the chemical sector, while its generation and heat networks provide power and steam for process industries. The group focuses on security of supply and grid balancing to support intermittent renewables in European markets.
