The company integrates the full bioenergy value chain, encompassing biomass supply and management, engineering and construction, plant operation and maintenance, and innovative technologies including carbon capture and utilization (CCU) for biogenic CO2, conversion to biomethane, and development of e-fuels (RFNBOs). It offers energy-as-a-service models under long-term contracts, enabling clients to replace fossil fuels like natural gas or coal without upfront capital investment while achieving emissions reductions and cost savings.

Headquartered in Madrid, ENSO operates mainly across the Iberian Peninsula with a strong focus on Spain. It has international project experience in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The company is wholly owned by Igneo Infrastructure Partners following its acquisition in December 2024; it was previously backed by Tikehau Capital and evolved from Gestamp Biomass activities. With over 25 years of sector expertise, ENSO has processed more than 1.5 million tons of biomass annually into renewable energy and supported development of over 400 MW of electrical capacity, positioning it as a key player in Spain's transition to sustainable industrial energy.

Also known as GESTAMP BIOMASS SOLUTIONS SL, COMBUSTION BIOMASS SERVICE SL, ENSO Group, and ENSO Energy Environment & Sustainability.
