Eni Storage Systems S.p.A.

About Eni Storage Systems

Eni Storage Systems S.p.A. is an Italian company focused on the development of an integrated lithium iron phosphate (LFP) stationary battery supply chain. It was established as part of a joint venture between Eni Industrial Evolution and FIB (Seri Industrial Group) to advance battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The company’s activities encompass LFP cell and module production, BESS assembly for utility-scale and industrial applications, and planned future work in materials recycling and cathode material manufacturing. Initial operations are centered at the Teverola (Caserta) hub in Italy, with a BESS assembly line scheduled for completion at the Teverola–Brindisi hub by the first half of 2027. A second gigafactory for cells and modules with capacity exceeding 8 GWh per year is planned by 2029.

Eni Industrial Evolution holds a 30% stake in the venture, while FIB retains 70%. The initiative aims to strengthen European production capacity for stationary batteries.
