The company's primary activities centre on the acquisition, development, and operation of petrol stations under the Essar brand. It manages both company-operated and dealer sites, providing fuel supply security through direct refinery-to-forecourt logistics. Offerings include standard and premium fuels such as Essar 99, alongside convenience retail, car washes, and emerging low-carbon options including planned EV charging pilots. In September 2026, EET Retail announced the acquisition of 100% of SGN Retail, adding 118 sites to its existing portfolio of 117 forecourts. The combined network totals 235 locations with annual fuel throughput exceeding 650 million litres, establishing EET Retail as the UK's second-largest backward-integrated forecourt operator. Long-term plans target expansion to approximately 800 sites by 2031, aiming for around 9% of the UK market while supporting the refinery's sustainability transition.

As a division of Essar Energy Transition Fuels, EET Retail benefits from group-level expertise in refining, logistics, and energy transition. It positions itself as a challenger in the UK mobility sector, focusing on customer convenience and community-focused service stations amid broader industry shifts away from traditional major oil company ownership of forecourts.
