Founded in 2011 by Professor Charlotte Williams, Econic Technologies maintains its headquarters and state-of-the-art facility at Alderley Park in Macclesfield, Cheshire, along with a pilot facility in Runcorn. The company employs approximately 40 to 50 staff and operates as an independent entity backed by venture capital investors such as Taranis Carbon Ventures, Capricorn Partners, CM Venture Capital, ING Sustainable Investments, and GC Ventures.
