Duqm Refinery

About Duqm Refinery

Duqm Refinery is a large-scale crude oil refinery located in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) on Oman’s central coast. It forms part of OQ8 (formerly Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company), a 50:50 joint venture between OQ and Kuwait Petroleum International.

The complex is designed for around 230,000 barrels per day, processing primarily Kuwaiti Export Crude into clean fuels and other products, including diesel, jet fuel, naphtha, LPG, petroleum coke, and sulfur. The site is integrated with the Ras Markaz crude storage hub and the Port of Duqm export terminals via pipeline and marine facilities, positioning it to serve regional and international markets and to anchor downstream industrial development within SEZAD.
