DowDuPont Inc.

About DowDuPont

DowDuPont Inc. was a holding company created in 2017 through the merger of The Dow Chemical Company and E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. The combined enterprise spanned materials science, specialty chemicals, and agriculture, serving markets such as packaging, transportation, construction, electronics, and farming. It maintained major corporate presences in Midland, Michigan, and Wilmington, Delaware.

Following the merger, DowDuPont executed a planned separation into three independent, publicly traded companies to focus on distinct market segments: Dow Inc. (materials science, including plastics and industrial chemicals), DuPont de Nemours, Inc. (specialty products and advanced materials), and Corteva, Inc. (seeds and crop protection). These separations were completed in 2019, and DowDuPont no longer operates as a combined entity. The name remains relevant in historical context and legacy disclosures related to the pre-separation period.
