Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (dena), also known as the German Energy Agency, is a Berlin-based centre of expertise for energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and intelligent energy systems. Founded in 2000, the company is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany and employs around 700 experts. It supports the German government in implementing energy and climate policy goals, with a focus on the transition to a climate-neutral society by 2045. Dena develops and implements solutions across the building, power and transport sectors, addressing energy generation, storage, networks and digitalisation through collaboration with partners from politics, industry, science and society.
