China Petrochemical Development Corporation (CPDC), legally known as 中國石油化學工業開發股份有限公司, is a Taiwan-based petrochemical company established in 1969. Headquartered in Kaohsiung, it listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 1991 (stock code: 1314) and privatized in 1994. As part of the Core Pacific Group, CPDC specializes in manufacturing upstream raw materials for the plastics, textile, and chemical fibers industries.
Key products include caprolactam (CPL, Taiwan's sole producer and a top global Nylon-6 supplier), acrylonitrile (AN), nylon chips, ammonium sulfate, hydrogen cyanide, refined sulfuric acid, and O-Phenylphenol, along with by-products. The company operates plants in Miaoli County and Kaohsiung, serving markets in Taiwan, Asia, and internationally. With paid-in capital of NT$37.8 billion, it reported net sales of TWD 19.2 billion in 2025.
