Compañía Española de Petróleos S.A.U. (Cepsa) is a Spanish integrated energy and petrochemicals company headquartered in Madrid. Its activities span exploration and production, refining, chemicals, trading, logistics, and fuel marketing. Cepsa operates major refining complexes at La Rábida (Huelva) and Gibraltar–San Roque (Cádiz), providing fuels and key feedstocks for downstream chemical manufacturing.

The company’s chemicals business (Cepsa Química) is a global supplier of surfactant and aromatic intermediates. It is a prominent producer of linear alkylbenzene (LAB) and linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LABSA) for household and industrial detergents, and manufactures phenol, acetone, cumene, and related derivatives used in resins, plastics, adhesives, and coatings. Production assets are located in Spain and other regions in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, serving customers worldwide.

Cepsa is active in initiatives to lower the carbon intensity of its operations and products, including efforts in advanced biofuels, renewable and circular feedstocks, and hydrogen, while maintaining supply of conventional petrochemical intermediates to the detergents and materials value chains.
