CITA VIA, s.r.o. is a Slovak agricultural company headquartered in Rimavská Sobota, operating a biogas plant in Ožďany. Established in 2019, its primary activities include electric power generation and the production of non-alcoholic beverages.
The Ožďany facility, running for over 14 years, processes biogas from maize, cattle and poultry manure, generating electricity while recently adding biomethane production via an EnviTec Biogas EnviThan gas upgrading unit. This 417 Nm³/h plant currently upgrades 750 Nm³/h of biogas for grid injection, with expansion plans to 1,300 Nm³/h. The company intends to shift to waste-derived feedstocks for enhanced sustainability.
