Chemport Europe is a regional industry cluster and development initiative in the Northern Netherlands that supports the chemical and materials sector’s transition to bio-based and circular production. It connects companies, research organizations, and public authorities across established industrial locations, including the chemical site at Delfzijl and the polymer-focused cluster around Emmen.
The organization facilitates investment and growth by providing access to industrial infrastructure and utilities, logistics and port connections, pilot and demonstration facilities, and regional talent and education networks. Focus areas include bio-based feedstocks and intermediates, polymer production and recycling, green hydrogen and electrification, and broader decarbonization of chemical value chains. Working with regional ports and development agencies, Chemport Europe helps companies scale sustainable processes and integrate into local supply chains within the Northern Netherlands’ industrial ecosystem.
