Chemport Europe is a public–private chemical industry cluster in the Northern Netherlands focused on advancing sustainable, biobased, and circular chemistry. It convenes companies, investors, ports, industrial parks, and knowledge institutions to help producers establish, expand, and decarbonize operations in the region.
The ecosystem spans key sites including Chemie Park Delfzijl and Emmtec Industry & Business Park (Emmen), with access to industrial infrastructure, renewable energy, and logistics via the seaports of Delfzijl and Eemshaven. Chemport Europe provides coordinated support for site selection, permitting, utilities, partnerships, talent, and financing to accelerate deployment of technologies for biobased chemicals, circular polymers, and related materials.
Acting as a facilitator rather than a manufacturer, Chemport Europe enables cross-sector collaboration to reduce emissions, close material loops, and develop competitive chemical value chains in the Northern Netherlands.
