Brightlands Chemelot Campus is an open innovation campus and R&D hub located on the Chemelot industrial site in Geleen, the Netherlands. It focuses on advanced materials, sustainable and circular chemistry, and process technology, supporting research, development, and industrial scale-up for the chemical and materials sectors.
The campus offers shared laboratories, pilot-plant and demonstration facilities, offices, and technical services, bringing together startups, SMEs, established companies, and academic and research institutions. Situated within a major chemicals production cluster in South Limburg, near the borders with Germany and Belgium, it provides direct access to industrial infrastructure, utilities, and permitting frameworks, enabling the translation of innovations from lab to plant in areas such as polymers, specialty materials, and recycling.
