Brightlands Chemelot Campus is an open-innovation research and development campus located on the Chemelot site in Sittard-Geleen, the Netherlands. It focuses on advanced materials, polymers, circular and specialty chemistry, and sustainable process technology. The campus brings together startups, SMEs, large industrial companies, and knowledge institutions to develop and scale chemical and materials innovations.
Situated alongside the Chemelot Industrial Park, the campus offers access to pilot and demonstration facilities, laboratories, and industrial-grade utilities, supporting the transition from lab to production. It operates within the Brightlands network in Limburg and collaborates with regional academic and public partners to link R&D, education, and industry. Activities on the campus span polymer science, recycling and circularity, process development, and application testing, serving companies active across the chemical and materials value chain.
