The company develops and supplies polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) materials, as well as base chemicals such as ethylene, propylene, and related hydrocarbons. Its polymers are used across packaging, infrastructure, energy, automotive, and consumer goods applications.
Borealis operates production and R&D sites across Europe and serves global markets, including through Borouge, its polyolefins joint venture with ADNOC in the Middle East. The group is majority-owned by OMV. Borealis is active in circular economy initiatives, expanding mechanical and chemical recycling capabilities and integrating recycled polymers into its product portfolio.
