BECCS Stockholm is Stockholm Exergi’s bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) initiative in Stockholm, Sweden. It targets the capture of biogenic carbon dioxide from a biomass‑fired combined heat and power plant, with permanent geological storage to deliver durable, verifiable carbon removals.
The project develops the full value chain—capture technology integrated with existing energy infrastructure, CO2 conditioning and transport, and long‑term storage—to enable high‑volume negative emissions.
