About Bapco Energies

Bapco Energies is the integrated national energy company of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the state’s primary holding entity for oil and gas assets. Formerly known as nogaholding, it oversees a portfolio spanning upstream oil and gas, refining, natural gas processing and distribution, and key energy infrastructure. The group has consolidated operating businesses under the Bapco brand, including activities historically carried out by Bapco (refining), Tatweer Petroleum (upstream), and Banagas (NGL/LPG), and leads major projects such as the modernization and expansion of the Sitra refinery.

Through its subsidiaries, Bapco Energies produces crude oil and associated gas, processes and distributes natural gas domestically, and refines crude into transportation fuels and other products for local and export markets. The company’s output includes LPG, NGLs, naphtha, and sulfur—important feedstocks for regional petrochemical and chemical industries. Bapco Energies also manages pipelines, storage, and terminal assets that support Bahrain’s energy supply chain and is tasked with advancing efficiency, reliability, and decarbonization across the national energy system.
