Back to Battery B.V. is a Netherlands-based company focused on recycling lithium-ion batteries. It develops proprietary hydrometallurgical refining processes to recover critical raw materials including lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, and graphite from end-of-life batteries and black mass, producing battery-grade outputs with minimal waste and low energy use.

Headquartered in Sittard-Geleen, the company participates in the LiSA consortium with partners including Nobian, the University of Twente, and Demcon Suster. This project, supported by a Dutch TKI Energy grant, pilots a circular route for lithium refining that integrates recycled and geothermal feedstocks.
