AVATR Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. (阿维塔科技（重庆）股份有限公司), commonly known as AVATR, is a Chinese premium electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Chongqing. Established in 2018 as a joint venture between Changan Automobile and NIO (formerly 长安蔚来新能源汽车科技有限公司), it rebranded in 2021 after Changan increased its stake and brought in CATL as the second-largest shareholder (Changan 41%, CATL 14%). Huawei provides key technologies, including advanced driver-assistance systems and smart cockpit solutions.
AVATR focuses on high-end smart electric vehicles (SEVs) built on the CHN platform, emphasizing new architecture, strong computing power, and high-voltage charging. Its lineup includes models like the AVATR 11 (mid-size luxury crossover SUV), AVATR 12 (sedan), AVATR 06, 07, and 011. In 2024, production reached 73,606 vehicles, with exports to over 25 markets and design centers in Shanghai and Munich, Germany.
