The Asia-Pacific Gynecologic Oncology Trials Group (APGOT) is an international research consortium founded in November 2019 to foster collaborative clinical trials and translational research in gynecologic cancers throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
APGOT unites leading country-specific trial groups, including the Australian-New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG), Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group (KGOG), Gynecologic Cancer Group Singapore (GCGS), Gynecologic Oncology Trial and Investigation Consortium (GOTIC) from Japan, and additional members such as the Taiwanese Gynecologic Oncology Group (TGOG), Shanghai Gynecologic Oncology Group (SGOG), and Kolkata Gynecological Oncology Trials and Translational Research Group (KolGOTrg).
The organization coordinates investigator-initiated studies and pharma-sponsored trials testing novel therapeutics and diagnostics, with a strong emphasis on precision medicine and access for diverse ethnic populations. It operates across multiple countries in Asia and Oceania, partnering with global networks like ENGOT and the GOG Foundation.
As a non-profit research network, APGOT aims to improve patient outcomes by enabling high-quality trials and training the next generation of clinician investigators, positioning it as a vital platform for advancing gynecologic oncology research in one of the world's fastest-growing cancer burden regions.
