The Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP), legally ANZUP Cancer Trials Group Limited, is an independent not-for-profit research organization dedicated to advancing clinical research for urogenital cancers.
Established in 2008 and based in Sydney, Australia, ANZUP coordinates multidisciplinary teams of over 2,700 healthcare professionals, researchers, scientists, and community representatives from Australia, New Zealand, and internationally. It identifies evidence gaps and designs investigator-led clinical trials focused on prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, and penile cancers to improve survival, quality of life, and treatment options.
The organization manages dozens of trials at hundreds of sites worldwide, enrolling more than 10,000 participants, with strong emphasis on translational research and patient-centered outcomes. It collaborates with academic centers including the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre at the University of Sydney and partners such as TROG.
ANZUP receives infrastructure support from the Australian Government via Cancer Australia, along with philanthropic funding and industry collaborations. As a leading cooperative clinical trials group in genitourinary oncology, it generates practice-changing evidence that influences standards of care in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
