Agência Nacional de Petróleo de São Tomé e Príncipe (ANP‑STP) is the national petroleum regulator of São Tomé and Príncipe. It oversees the country’s oil and gas sector, with a focus on offshore exploration and potential development in the Gulf of Guinea.
ANP‑STP’s mandate covers regulation of upstream activities, organization of licensing rounds, negotiation and administration of petroleum contracts, and management of national petroleum data. The agency monitors technical, environmental, and safety compliance, and provides governance frameworks for resource appraisal and field development. It also serves as the state’s interface with industry participants to ensure transparent, efficient, and sustainable management of São Tomé and Príncipe’s hydrocarbon resources.
