Administración Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) is Paraguay’s state-owned electric utility. It plans, operates, and expands the national power system, handling transmission, distribution, and retail supply to residential, commercial, and industrial customers across the country, and managing grid reliability and interconnections.
Paraguay’s electricity is predominantly generated from large hydroelectric resources—most notably the binational Itaipú and Yacyretá dams—complemented by domestic assets such as Acaray. Leveraging this largely renewable power mix, ANDE provides long-term and industrial-grade electricity services, grid connections, and power purchase arrangements that support energy-intensive users, including sectors relevant to chemicals and fertilizers.
